My solitary heart

Though broken-

Still wants one glimpse of you,

My downcast eyes

Though bereft of tears-

Still fills up envisioning you,

Yes, you left me alone and stranded;

Amidst this world so cruel,

Leaving aside barrage of memories;

Moments - that I everyday dwell,

I know I was at fault

My love for you stayed always unrequited,

But did you convey yours even once?

No, your heart also kept the feelings unreciprocated,

These thoughts keep on loitering in my mind;

As I lay the last orchid,

And bid adieu with a prayer-

To free my soul from this world sordid
