My Insecurities Knew

Her eyes we're ocean blue, 

Her scent reminded me of the morning dew,

All her old dresses for me seemed new,

I gave her my heart without thinking, but a part of me knows she wouldn't do the same.

My insecurities they knew.... 

 We spent hours talking, 

I consoled her like a shadow- providing tree, 

But a part of me knew, that I wasn't the one she would be walking in the grass covered with morning dew.

My insecurities they knew, 

That she wouldn't see my tries and sacrifice, 

She would only see his face nice. 

But I knew that a was a hopeless romantic and I deserve to be treated right. 

Someone would love me, and I will let their feelings flow, 

It was something which my insecurities will never really know.
