My Granny's House
My Granny's House
When I got down the bullock cart
The big wooden door opened with a creek sound
Myriad blocks separated by brown
Welcomed the yellow threshold with red flowers
Granny peeped out and exclaimed ooooo!
Walked with extended hands
Towards me and fondled
Looked each other with a smile
Grandpa came from the field
I ran to him; he hugged
Me and cried , oh darling!
Face shone like sun
