My fate

My fate

I just closed my eyes

Letting the tears fall

With my soul shaking

My dream would be crumbled under my own feet,

the moment I would step out

With this heavy attire chocking my frame

Heading towards a whole new life

I have no idea about

Standing beside the person I have never even said a word to

Yet here we are here, bound in a lifelong pious relation,

we have no idea about

My whole existence shivers

Only thinking about the new world, I am being thrown into

I feel like a bird

Thrashing inside a cage

Trying to get free

To spread her wings wide

High into the blue sky

And my mom would whisper

"Shh!! It's your fate, accept it, my child"

In my ears, as if scared someone might listen

Like the flower, wilted yet intact in its place

Surviving due to that one petal alive

I would stand there

Breathing air with my heat turned stone

And soul ashened.
