All she wished for was to be a star as bright as a crystal,

But all they wanted her to be was yet again another star in a cluster.

Transcending the limitation of stereotype was

Her passion,

But not to forget who she is, was the society's compulsion.

A uniform, a badge and a responsibility is all she expected for,

But a red saree and a hand filled with mehendi is what they inspected for.

All she craved for was to be a nation's braveheart,

But they mocked that she was just somebody's sweetheart.
