Moving On
Moving On
Isn't it unfair
That the ones who broke our hearts are happy with someone else
And it is us who have to weep their hearts out
We try to believe the consoling lie "I don't care anymore"
But on the inside we all do
Then comes the point when our heart
Just breaks and falls apart and the mind takes control
We don't crave for that person anymore
We are no longer wide awake at 3 am with tears in our eyes
And suddenly the pain of heartbreak is a bit bearable
And it seems like we can live with that pain throughout our petty lives
But still all that is required to shatter that lie
Is just a smile from a person or maybe their touch
And we are again in that bottomless pit
From where getting out is unimaginable
And MOVING ON is a myth
