Mother's Plight

Mother's Plight

"Just a little love and care is what needed the most dear"

Tells a weeping mother

Gazing at her son's still form

Captured in a picture, hanging on a wall;

"I don't need your money, all I need is your presence near me"

It's been few years since the two has been near;

Season comes and goes

But the distance remains the same between the two;

The diligent money orders comes every month

But what the mother need never comes

Every month she stands in front of that wall

With money held tight in one hand

Tears streaming down her face

Waiting for the son to come and wipe them,
