Mother Earth

Mother Earth

My fecund thoughts swirl in air,

To smell the roots of birth.

Embedded inside the myriad layers,

Breathes our mother earth.

The mystery hides in mundane world,

Amid the crude mayhem.

But our rootage stays too furled,

Below our sacred stem.

Deep within the grooves of earth,

We find inceptive seeds.

A thousand years of death and birth,

Concelaed natural deeds.

Little beings to collosal breeds,

Their history lies inside.

Painful holes for human greeds,

Tampered with our guide.

Mother earth has stored within,

A plethora of beings.

A billion years of devilish sin,

Chopped off a million wings.

Life has roots in mother's cave,

They grow in warmth and care.

They die in bliss to reach the grave,

With each a bit of share.

We owe a lot to mother soil,

She holds us safe and sound.

We learn to earn through artless toil,

And sleep inside her mound.
