Mirror
Mirror
Mirror mirror on the wall,
In front of us, you stand tall;
Light and dark you reflect the same,
Truthfully play a safe game.
But I wonder what will happen,
If your truthfulness is forgotten,
If mirrors aren't trusted the same,
And if Erised is just a name;
"Oh no! There's no need to wonder!
There's not much that you need to ponder
Of trust, people will grow fonder"
That's what my innocence said;
But the reality,
Discerned to me,
The melancholy
That would spread.
Nothing to check our beauty,
Nothing to check our flaws;
Would lead to being trustworthy,
Or lead to our fall;
People would be our mirror,
Biased or truthful,
Their opinion, your answer,
Which may or may not be useful.
Beauty would be defined
As per each one's perspective,
Or it would be confined
To the trustworthy selective.
In your service, billions believe,
Yet not knowing if they're being decieved;
But I trust you, for you can't be duplicate
And won't be fake, for you reflect my fate.
