Me
Me
Everyone says to lose
My personality,
I'm known as the girl,
Whose hair are scattered,
Even after brushing them.
I'm known as the girl,
Who never thinks about,
What outsiders say
About her appearance.
I'm known as the girl,
Who wears sweat-pants
And shirts all the time,
Because she feels comfortable.
I'm known as the girl,
Who never puts make-up,
Even on the special occasions,
I like who I am.
This is all the traits which defines me
I don't see why society have problems?
They have this stereotype,
That girls are nothing without make-up,
They're insecure about their looks,
Listen every girl is not!
I don't want to be,
What people want me to be.
There saying didn't affect me,
It's what my family says to me But;
Nowadays they are acting like this society's
Puppet who wants me to mould,
In that girl which society think is ideal,
To look good every time,
To wear clothes which society approves.
To do all household works,
To listen to their in-laws,
To never raise her voice,
To follow religious beliefs blindly,
And to be the ideal daughter, sister,
Wife, daughter-in-law, mother.
And wishes nothing more than that,
This is not the life
I want to live.
People say you are reaching eighteen soon,
Why can't you be like other girls;
'Because I'm not other girl'
My personality is my own,
You think I'm a defective piece,
'But that's how God created me'.
