Maa, Where Are You?
Maa, Where Are You?
They say there's a way I can find you.
But, I cannot; I cannot find you anywhere–
Neither in the Alps nor in the mountains nearby,
Neither in the forests nor near the riverside.
Are you amidst those stars twinkling above?
Or are you standing in a multitude of peace?
Maa, where are you?
Are you watching o'er me through your hanging photo frame?
Or are you just beside me, holding my hand,
Without letting me know?
I am stumbling and no one's there to hold me on –
So, I want you: as my fortress.
People say "Legends never die" ;
So where are you?
A mother is always a legend –
So where are you?
Your little beastie's moaning o'er your death :
She needs you to stop this pain.
I go through the pages of our album of memories
When the day is too gloomy for me ;
I try to muse myself by going through them,
But still there stays back silent chaos.
Now I understand the pain of losing you,
Now I understand the real meaning of loneliness.
Maa, where are you?
Are you watching o'er me through your hanging photo frame?
Or are you just beside me, holding my hand,
Without letting me know?
