Lurking Soul for Eternal Peace

      

Our souls are lurking today for eternal peace

But to my dismay, I don’t find it anywhere with ease

There is a perpetual dearth of evils all around in the society

Which we know, is the worldly matter created by the Almighty

but the desolation is, everyone thinks that it comes from the sky.

My heart sighs noticing around the harsh truth with vanity

Today when I go scrounging for humanity,

All I find is the perplexity, bafflement and insanity.

People are filled with pride, jealousy and inanity,

Is this what we call today world’s sensibility?

What is widespread today is the callousness for sanctity,

How can we so easily forget that living a virtuous life is our topmost priority.

People are becoming participants of sheer rat race and hovels of bait and lust,

There is hardly a person to be seen we can even trust.

We have forgotten propensity taught by our fore-fathers with generosity,

Alas! Today our souls lament in the emaciated squalors looking for dainty.

And find the world being deprived of peace but full of profanity.

People are busy showing off their beguile,

There is no peace around us as faces today have no smile.

So, let’s not further wait even a while

And put on our much-awaited peaceful caps adorned with a selfless smile

 So that the world will soon become non-volatile.
