Love Yourself

Love Yourself

You hate the way your voice sounds on the phone,

The way your bangs fly back on your forehead sticks out.

You have your mother's eyes and your father's brown hair

And you hate how plain you look compared to them both.

You hate your thick thighs sticking out in shorts, little freckles on your face,

Your fat fingers and those chubby cheeks people pinch.

Your weak heart and the anxiety that makes you so unsociable.

Yet you are always looking for someone to love you the way you are.

Running around searching for someone to love you while you forget to love yourself.
