We Are

We Are

Daughters of men who wanted to rule the world

Of women who wanted delicacy dripping off of our fingertips.

We're the modern witches burning our own stakes

Laughing as the kingdom fell

The one built by men who didn't expect a single thing from us.

Throwing stones at their iron gates

Watching them burn their flags.

We're the silent disasters; tearing down those who wish to bind us

We're practical dreamers; realistic, perfectionists to a fault

Giving too much of ourselves to others

Saving the world starving ourselves

We're raging storms; hidden behind the mask of calmness

We're the empress, the magician, the joker and the seducer

We're too much for our own good

Toning it down, taking you by surprise when you least expect it.
