Love Yourself

Why does it have to be that the love you give is not always the love you get in return?

Sometimes our minds are so deceived that we must teach them to discern

Is the time we are spending worth it, or are we trying in vain?

If you have to ask that question at all, it's best to just abstain 

Have you even taken time to explore your own intention?

Looking into your own heart, could be your best prevention 

Are you ready to turn the last page, and place the book on the shelf?

Hold off before you give your love away, and give that love to yourself
