Abandoned
Abandoned
In the old house, draped in ivy,
The wind still rocks the broken chair,
Time has stood still, for years-
To enter it now no one dares.
The walls cracked in nooks and corners,
The thicken dust carpets the floor,
The weeds now crawl over the garden,
The broken fountains run no more.
Still the breeze stirs the leaves ,
Some old letters fly around,
Footprints are left on the sand of time,
So many memories can be found.
Once the clock ticked the hours,
A smiling man rocked on the chair,
A broken specs is all that left,
Where they vanished now no one cares.
Long ago when evening came,
A woman would go and light the lamp,
But now the rooms with spider webs,
Are lying dead cold and damp.
Still the house stands up still,
In the setting rays of sun,
When darkness fills the crumbling wall,
By the silence the sadness burns
