LOVE'S BROKEN DREAM
LOVE'S BROKEN DREAM
I mistook you for love, so true and good,
Your first encounter made me my mood.
Trusted you, with all my heart's capacity,
Not knowing my vision would suffer opacity.
It was so good and pleasing while it lasted,
Didn't ever dream, things will get contrasted.
But fate did have a different thing in store,
That was strong enough to hit, heart's core.
My thoughts of love, so pleasant and fair,
Didn't know I was building a castle in the air.
It was wonderful and serene, to look at,
Unexpected wind came as a swinging bat.
Caressing the dream's castle, fell to ground,
My expectations never did utter any sound.
Was I still alive with all my dreams broken?
Was it a call to justify what I have spoken?
