Love in a Hopeless Place
It was September 15th,
For my stay here in this city, I was not really keen.
A hobson's choice, and there I was with no expectations but a lot of poise.
Past had torn me so bad that I was too tired now, to be sad.
A new city - a new beginning, they said.
For me it was nothing more than a fading fad.
Who wants to lead this group for 3 months? They asked.
No matter how broke my soul was, the leader in me could never be surpassed.
That one raise of hand, and now it feels like that was the actual plan. :)
From a leader to everyone's fighter.
From a happy employee, to a responsible daughter.
From being colleagues, to lifelong friends.
This city gave me all the happiness when I felt it was the dead end.
Days of "not trying" and just "being",
Gave me all the love which I had never seen.
Today, after so many years,
I would just like to say,
that I found the love in a hopeless place
