Fragrance
Fragrance
She is a strong woman, they say.
Quite practical and rational all the way.
Neither a drop of tear,
Nor a sign of despair.
She is hard to break,
She has no emotions to spare.
Little did they know the musings of night,
Those long hours of pain and plight -
When she wrapped herself in that rosy blanket,
When she got the whiff from that scented candle,
When she wore that unwashed cloth,
When she cried on that coconut stained pillow.
Because for her, it was his *fragrance* that kept her alive everyday.
Because for her, it didn't matter what they say.
