Those withered petals of rose,

Stuck on her diary notes.

Reminded her;

Of the day he proposed.

His shabby attire,

With a confused face.

His messy hair,

As if were set on fire.

And eyes full of grace.

With her eyes closed,

He held her hand.

Giving her a beautiful rose,

He took her to a spot he chose.

To reveal his feelings,

As he planned.

With beautiful flowers all around,

He took out the ring,

As the musicians started to sing.

He confessed;

That I have finally found,

The love of my life.

Will you accept my proposal?

And be my wife.

And she said yes!

Jumping with joy.

B'coz she had fallen for him,

Before he had even confessed.

Thinking of all this again,

She was lost Down her memory lane.

Until,

She was disturbed by a familiar sound

Asking,

As she turned around,

He was standing right there,

In front of her eyes.

As she saw him after 2 long years,

She broke down to tears.

Running towards him,

She hugged him tight.

For all those nights,

She had spent in fear.

He was standing now in front of her right there.

As he was finally back,

After fighting for the nation.
