Little Companion
Little Companion

I had a little companion once,
Who always stuck by my side,
She helped me overcome my fears,
She helped me find my pride.
One day I saw her all alone,
With no one to guide,
She suddenly looked into her phone,
And she started to cry.
I noticed how helping people,
Meant so much to her,
And without helping them,
Her life would be a blur.
I wanted to help my friend,
I couldn't bear to see,
My faithful companion,
Being as blue as the sea.
So I searched for a problem,
I searched day and night,
When luckily I found two girls,
Having a silly fight.
I rushed to my lovely friend,
And looked at her with glee,
"Come on my helpful friend,
Come on follow me"
I went to the place I saw the girls,
But they were gone
"Oh no," I cried, "I must have scared them away,
What have I done"
My little friend looked at me,
And asked me what was wrong,
I replied that I wanted to cheer her up,
But the problem was long gone.
She looked again with confusion in her eyes,
"You wanted to find a problem?"
I told her I did, it was the only way,
I would ever make her blossom.
She told me she doesn't like the problems,
Not one single bit,
She only does it to see the joy,
From every little kid.
I understood my mistake,
And yelled, "Oh yes of course!"
"You didn't want to see the pain,
You wanted to see the jubilant source!"
I learned that she doesn't help people,
Just to get a reward,
She helps them honestly,
Without any award.
Today I learned a valuable lesson,
Always help as much as you can,
Because you might make someone's rainy day,
As bright and sunny as you can!
