Lily

Lily

Lone sweet lily shy

Hidden amongst leaves,

A demure bride

Now,

The pure, beautiful

Bud breathes in life,

Sweet nectar flows,

As does love

Through the honeyed veins,

Golden,

Singeing,

Throbbing,

Blushing

In a golden hue,

As the dew trickles down

Her her velvety skin,

The naughty, wild wind

Feeling every pore of her,

Birds pecking and teasing her,

The butterflies and bees

Flying around, talking to her,

Oblivious to all

The dainty lily small,

Waits for the touch

Of her knight in armour,

Her charmer,

To hug each other

Together,

Before her breath stopped,

Time froze

And her eyes closed

Forever.
