Like No One Before
Like No One Before
When there wasn't a single star in the sky,
I was hoping, perhaps, I could still fly high,
Behind the clouds, the moon hid itself,
And here I stood as I looked upon myself
I stood far away from them,
And I walked further away,
Either they weren't for me,
Or I wasn't for them
But either way I walked alone,
For I was all I had to myself,
A few selected joined my journey,
They became twinkling stars for me
But when you came along,
The sun had risen,
Shining bright,
With a fierce so might
You made me laugh,
You made me angry,
But always made sure,
That I never cry ever
I don't know what difference I have made,
A change I perhaps sought to have made,
But here you shower me with pleasure and content,
Such immense that words can not describe
Now, I shed tears of joy,
For you're my sunshine,
You're my hope,
And I'd do anything for you
All I know,
Is that I hope,
That you'll help me through,
Like no one before
