You're like the wind,

Light and breezy and abundant,

Misunderstood and taken for granted.

I am like a falling leaf,

Dull and heavy and ever so changing,

Portrayed as beauty from afar when I am wilting.

And so is our relationship,

Ever so dependent.

I need you to fall,

You don't need me at all,

At least not specifically.

But will there be wind without a tree?

Will leaves fall off with o wind?

You like the wind,

Light, breezy and abundant,

Misunderstood and taken for granted.

I am like a falling leaf,

Dull and heavy and ever so changing,

Portrayed as beauty from afar when I am wilting.

And so is our relationship,

Ever so dependent.

I need you to fall,

You don't need me at all,

At least not specifically.

But will there be wind without a tree?

Will leaves fall off without wind?
