Life Was Beautiful
Life Was Beautiful

Life was beautiful
With the pictures and stories
Bubbles and colors
and monsters and fairies
Splashing of water
and buzzing of bees
Blooming of flowers
and dancing of trees.
Life was beguiling
In playing hide and seek,
Running in musical chairs
and the sneaky mischieves.
Unceasing imagination
For rainbows and the horizon
Smiles so amicable
And innocence ineffable.
Life became miserable
With explorations meaningless
Searches for happiness
And reasons for the actions,
Fabricating the truth
To defend the selfish self
Collecting experiences
To swallow all in one gulp.
Life became regretful
With the melancholic moods
The challenges and promises
Of various altitudes
Though there is no worry
To measure the depth of seas
Yet there is no potency
To gift a life of ease.
