Life : An Eternal Ride
Life : An Eternal Ride
Life is unfair they said,
For one faces many dire situations,
Wishing that they were dead,
Losing the desire to live,
Battling valiantly with depression,
Giving all that they can provide,
Yet crumbling on the inside,
Loneliness, and melancholy results
From breakups, misunderstandings,
Peer pressure cracks their hearts,
Failures piercing their hearts like darts,
Their opinions are not being valued,
The facade of the whole world
Being against them, desperation sets in.
Locked in an iron door of depression,
The heart and mind sway to and fro,
For the keys to the door are missing,
The fickle mind starts reminiscing
The past memories, as the person
Decides to end his precious life.
The world is full of miseries and lies
The person thinks, as one's life
It is laden with kinks and twirls,
There is no thrill and frill in life.
Wellwishers, family members and friends,
Are about to be left behind in shock and grief.
Scared to open up to them,
The gripping fear of getting judged,
Acting as a barrier to seeking help,
As the person can do nothing but yelp.
A smile is all it takes to make a difference,
Reassuring the person of your presence,
Being non-judgemental, offering a helping
Hand and a shoulder to cry and rest on,
Being a healer and offering warmth,
Leading from darkness unto light.
The person deserves to be here,
To be alive, to grow, to be happy
And to thrive, life holds more
In-store than to just cease.
Our lives hold a value, a meaning,
A purpose that is yet to unravel.
Our lives are indeed a marvel,
Before we bid the world farewell.
We are in this together, in this
The vicious cycle of growing and recovering.
We ought to show self-love and affection,
For having made out of this affliction.
