Lies
Lies
Where do lies go?
Lies climb up to the corner of your teeth
Mixing words together until someone
Points them out and embarrass you
Lies crawl up to your sleeves
And sit on your eyelashes
Waiting for your tears to wash it clean
Or baptize it, maybe?
Lies dance on unheard tunes on summer nights
And kiss new people while it snows outside
Lies hang in your living room
With a rope around its neck
And at night you hear
Your ceiling fan falling down
And lies, coughing
on the floor
You fix the fan back to the place
Lies try to kill themselves again
But ends up killing people and
Sometimes
You
Lies live forever
Like Love
Like Soul
Like God
