Just The Way We Are…Undone.

This game that we play,

Sharing emotions,

Expressing adoration,

Yet skipping out on truly loving each other,

Making both eager for more…

And one day I started to crumble,

I gave it an actual chance,

That courageous vulnerability you bring out of me,

But it also took my sanity,

I long for a change in our patterns,

I don’t think I can keep playing ‘the game’

Anymore, but

Without it (the game) we also can’t be!
