Joining Rivers To Save Our Future

Divided,

Country into states

People on language,

21st-century citizens dividing

Rivers into more rivers.

Plastic wastes replacing

The river beds,

So the fishes pout a cry

As their habitat is about to die.

Water bodies drying at a pace

Faster than the sex ratio,

Necessary to save water

As it is for our children to borrow.

We don't waste money

Even though it's just paper,

Why waste water 

When we can save it forever?

All of us remember 14th Feb

When it carries the least importance,

Why forget 22nd March

When we care for our future?

Water is a necessity

And the most precious gift of nature,

If there is water

Only then is our safe future.

Let us join hands 

And pledge to work together,

To join the rivers

And clean the water forever.

It is not just a request

But an inherent responsibility,

To look for changes

For saving our water resources.
