Jelly Bean
Jelly Bean
Its past midnight
I wished you a happy birthday for the first time
Since I've known you
Didn't imagine you'd reply to my texts
That too with
"Thank you. Means a lot :)"
I was watching the favorite
When I almost forgot
That you existed still
Well not to me maybe
But for yourself
And others who appreciate you
Love you in a wholesome way.
It really irked me
When you called that boy
Who's just your friend
By a nickname
Right in front of my face
Shouting with joy and muffled enthusiasm
You must be very closely knit with that group
Of damaged retards.
I don't have enough curse words in my repertoire
To swear
Because none could satisfy
The sweet, viscous hatred
Which has engulfed my soul
Like a jelly bean.
