It's like Us
It's like Us
Sleep escapes me, where
My poetic mind doesn't
So, I write.
Something that I, I feel too much,
So much that I can feel it in my bones,
Deep in the heart, a sensation too strong,
I wish I knew better words to explain.
Words by words stain on the paper,
And just feel it all.
Thoroughly, gaze at a beam that
shoots through the curtains,
Softly blinding me in a blink.
I know there is something waiting
Beyond this horizon.
A moment when the clouds
Will slide and the sun will say
I've been waiting to step into the day of spring.
We witness the sun rising on Sundays
Wondering whether this place is so mesmerizing,
This land nourishes & rooted
with a moment of us.
"I look at you, the flower I don't know the name of
Swing happily with water & roots underwater"
"It's like us", You said.
You keep holding my hand.
Pulling back to life. I replied.
"I either stay with you or
We'll flow together."
