Into the River of Future
Into the River of Future
The future gushes into its obscure currents,
Its torrents unmindful of the paths they steered,
Pulling me into the muddy water of maybes and mayhems,
Drowning me in tomorrow’s travesty.
When the past snickers at the chase I pick,
Trails converge and separate windily!
How far must I go, remains my own prudence!
Smoothening the ridges, tides of the past
Will carry me into the roaring current of time,
Onward, incessantly, ebbing the rudiments
To embark on a future odyssey.
