In Your Loving Memory
In Your Loving Memory
Where did you go my dearest?
Among the tiny lights blinking in the fog,
Or to the subtle foamy waves,
Did thee alone walk?
How distant now the past seems,
Those moments melt into something else.
Yet Like cobwebs sparkling in the morning mist,
Remains shining your brilliant self!
Your ghost follows me everywhere,
Like the sweet scent after the first rain,
It lingers behind and whispers a silent prayer,
And disappears somewhere in your lane.
I imagine us climbing up the roof to watch,
The lights spill across the landscape at midnight.
I imagine us falling asleep on our road trips in March,
As the radio dissolves into the twilight.
Only in my dreams now you come alive,
Surrounded by blue wavy hills,
I watch you smile through your kohl-rimmed eyes,
While the space between us with gratitude fills.
