IN MEMORY OF GOD

IN MEMORY OF GOD

BY SANJAY YADAV

Oh, my God,
Thou art so brave and full of hope,
Where human beings believe in Thee,
Every human heart receives
Inspiration and strength from Thee.

Oh, my dear God,
Thou always keepest smiling
And makest every face happy.
Thou art immortal
And present everywhere,
Where people take Thy blessings
With faith within their hearts.

Oh, my dear God,
Thou understandest every human situation,
And Thou knowest the journey
Of life and death
For every human being upon the Earth.

Oh, my dear God,
Thou createdst life
With beautiful and lovely creations.
Life is filled with happiness and love,
And human beings enjoy their lives
With strength and inspiration
Because of Thee, my Lord.

There are rich people
And there are poor people;
Both seek happiness in life,
And both struggle
For survival upon this Earth.

Every woman, every child,
Every man, and every elderly person
Respecteth Thee.
They celebrate festivals
With happiness and joy,
Giving thanks for the life
Thou hast given them.

Yet sometimes they become sad
And sorrowful through their struggles.
But, my Lord,
Thou knowest every situation
Within every human life.

Oh, my dear God,
Thou hast given free will
To human beings.
Yet Thou observest
Every human journey
How they live,
How they love,
How they struggle,
And how they continue forward.

Oh, my dear God,
I am grateful for Thy beautiful creation.
Thou remainest within my heart,
And I hold Thee there
With love and respect.

I ask only this of Thee, my Lord:
Keep a smile upon every human face.
Bless every human life
With hope, strength, and peace.

May every person find light
When the journey becomes dark.
May every heart receive courage
To continue the journey of life.

This is my prayer to Thee,
My Lord,
And this is my humble request:

Keep blessing every human life,
Keep hope alive within every heart,
And let Thy beautiful creation
Continue to shine upon the Earth.
