If Wishes were Horses

If Wishes were Horses, Beggars would ride,

They would burn out soon and probably Die.

One of my Flaws is the lack of Control

Give flight to my mind and like Fire I will Roar

I could never stop, even if I really try

I would want this and that and everything under the Sky.

I will only keep wanting, no time to make them come True

The lure is intense but difficult to pull through

My wishes could be Horses, but Reality still a Snail,

Former soaring the skies and latter struggling for Plane

Horses would Flash through

before the Snail could even Slime.

They will burn out soon and eventually Die

Till Reality catches up, nothing but ashes left to clean

Standing right here I’ll watch my Horses disappear in Oblivion.
