"If I Could Hold Time Still"

"If I Could Hold Time Still"

If I could hold time still for a while,
I'd press pause at the moment you smiled.
When your eyes met mine in quiet grace,
The world faded out, leaving just your face.

If stars could talk, they’d whisper your name,
In every night sky, it’s you I claim.
Like the moon follows the ocean tide,
My heart’s been yours, no place to hide.

You’re the song in a silent room,
The sunlight that cuts through monsoon gloom.
In chaos, you’re my steady ground,
A lost heart’s beat finally found.

Your laughter is where my peace begins,
A melody that soothes and softly wins.
And even when life feels too loud,
You're the calm I find inside the crowd.

If I could paint what I feel for you,
I’d need the sky and every hue.
From softest blush to deepest blue,
No color could match a love so true.

When nights get long and thoughts grow wild,
I sit with dreams where you’ve always smiled.
In those dreams, your hand’s in mine,
And time dances soft, like a whispered rhyme.

If the world ever dims or loses light,
You’ll still be my northern star at night.
Guiding me home through every storm,
In your arms, I feel safe and warm.

So if I could hold time still, you see—
I’d freeze it right when you looked at me.
Not for forever, just long enough
To live in that gaze...
And call it love.
