When we used to play in the sand.

When I made you walk and held you by my hand.

When those ice-cream hawkers broke our afternoon sleep.

When after every fight we used to complain and weep.

When the shadows of the dark used to scare you.

When you lost things everytime and how to get them back you had no clue.

When we shared everything big or small.

When we wrote thoughts and dreams on the dining walls.

When we shared secrets and promises to stay together.

When we ran in the windy eve to catch the bird's feather.

When we climbed tallest trees to pluck those wooden flowers

When we used to watch the clouds lying on the ground for hours.

When we rang those door bells and ran as fast we can.

When we broke the glass windows and ran, ran and ran.

When we celebrated birthdays and danced to those classis tunes.

When we made castles out of those moving sand dunes.

When we slept and dreamt of a fantasy land of the cartoons.

When we used to count the night's sky stars and the moons.

I long for those days and silently cry.
