I Will Succeed

I Will Succeed

Darkness echoing through the silent walls,

My heart thumping as fear calls.

The suffocating ambience,

Smothers me,

The numbing smell of dead flowers,

Distresses me.

The iciness of the room,

Sent chills down my spine.

Was it entirely my fault,

To be stuck here, all this time?

My eyes were engulfed in darkness,

My soul was mourning over sadness,

Each moment of grief

Seemed to be neverending,

Was there any sight of happiness?

A peck of light peeped into the room,

A new ray of hope seeped into my gloom,

My desperate will pushed me,

To get out of this misery.

I thrust my hand into the wall,

Immense pain made me fall,

But I will not cede,

For I know that someday,

I will succeed.
