I told the lightening about us
I told the lightening about us
My dearest Theodore,
I sat beaming at the sunset today.
An evanescent occurrence and lingering darkness so mesmerizing,
I embarrassingly stopped myself from gazing too long
And another cliché eventuality of reminiscence.
Dearest Theodore,
I saw the trees whispering to the clouds today
I assumed it was something along the lines of
"I hope it rains so I could take upon your encumber, and turn it into some years of survival for many others".
Theodore, my mindfulness, my honour;
I hope you don't take this in amiss but
I told the lightening about you.
About how your face nullifies the blazing woods of Vermont,
Or the way your eyes say "you're safe with me " and "I could kill you if I tried", so simultaneous.
Theodore,
I saw two lovers quarrel today.
A humorous sight to many, apparently.
I'm no philosopher, but I did question the way
They pulled us apart every single day.
Makes me wonder,
Would we be okay today if I didn't fear the power,
Of a falling universe and a distasteful crowd.
Yours forevermore or so we said,
Sebastian.
