I Gave It A Thought

I gave it a thought

what makes her smile.. even just for a while

Is the breeze that blows from far east…

is it the meadows lush green...

Is it the spring time flowers so bright

Is it the morning dew, Resting on the leaves so fresh

is it watching the waves splash on a lonely beach

Or is a small child holding mums hand walking in her safety

..a kite free from its string flying away…

Birds humming their morning songs…

Herds of sheep hurdled together…

A drop of rain causing ripples in the pond…

Or is it some thought of her own... a dream taking her far

Far away from this world of fiction, far from agony

Lies and deception...

A world of her own, her kingdom of heaven

Where she's the queen and rules them all…

The flowers, the people the rain, the wind,

the meadows, the Sea and the birds who sing

Singing in the praise of the mighty queen...

Whose mere smile makes the seasons change…

And then she smiles… and the worlds not the same….

And I keep thinking what makes her smile again….

Smile just for a while…
