Hurts Her
Hurts Her
She wears her pride on her sleeve and it fits her
Striding on in her jeans while life hits her
Standing tall in heels while her feet blister
Kept hope as opportunities missed her
Stays afloat even though nobody gets her
Stayed sane no complaints not even a whisper
About the pain and fear that nearly kills her
No words of loneliness no body feels her
Hurt and emptiness no one to heal her
But she still shines on she's still a winner
With a losing hand she beat the dealer
Uncontainable confidence there's no concealer
Illuminated light and you can't steal her
Can't dim her shine can't seal the real her
She really going through real dirt
It causes real hurt sometimes it gets worse
More pain on her shoulders than a filled purse she feels real hurt but its HER curse
So she keeps searching the Earth
Seeking her worth until she arrives in hearse
To finally bury the hurt
