Honour of valour- a poetic tale of empowerment

Honour of valour- a poetic tale of empowerment

Once while walking on the road,

Females were raising appreciable slogans of equality and women empowerment in a huge horde,

A female leader was on a stage, had won an election,

The crowd full of females welcomed her, showering flowers in a collection,

I kept on walking ahead and saw again a huge women's assemblage,

An actress was arriving to have a show on stage,

I walked a bit far, saw again a crowd in the concourse,

Army men were gathered around a coffin with eyes full of remorse,

Guns were fired on the count of three in the sky,

Salute by all, legs upright and a boy in the corner stood very shy,

Near the coffin was a picture of a martyred uniformed lady,

Beautiful outside, courage inside, and stars on shoulder already

When all were ready in uniforms and raised slogans with valour,

The boy ran and hugged the coffin wrapped in tricolor,

To the army, a soldier died with bravery,

To a son, his mother died leaving him solitary,

When on the way, multifarious maidens were appreciating females with class and fame,

Then in a small ground, only a few army men were paying last respect to that martyred Jane,

When females of the city were flaunting women's empowerment,

Then, males of the army were respecting the lady’s abandonment,

Where there was tremendous noise of female authorization, echoing in the city,

There, silently uniformed men with authority were praising a female of honour and notability,

I asked a soldier for the reason for her demise,

His voice was stammering while speaking and tears inside his eyes,

He replied, a building having women's NGO was attacked and set on fire,

When things were uncontrollable army was called in dire,

The lady fought the fire and saved all females,

Where she won the situation but her destiny fails,

Where females were required to praise empowerment and equality,

These men were present to applaud the lady’s audacity….

Ladies!! Before raising the issues of equality, respect humanity,

Not all men are culprits; some still respect women’s personalities…..
