Homecoming

I worked on my relationships with others

Only to become aware of

My rotten relationship with my own self.

I explored the entire world

Only to see that

There is so much unexplored within my own self.

I tried to be all that I was guided to be

Only to be informed that

I never chose to be my own self.

I worked hard to achieve what was considered to be worthy

Only to realise that

I never dared to act on my true dreams.

I longed for the things I thought

I would love

Only to find that

I am missing out on loving the things I already have.
