Hate Is Not My Doctrine
Hate Is Not My Doctrine
Sipping sorrow, I fake a smile
Chasing those fond memories
The indelible imprints...
In the sands of time
The pain, I don't say out loud
Builds a home inside me
My quivering lips
Face as cold as ice
Delineate life's blurrings
Shards and splinters of misery
Have buffed me off my sheen
Reducing me to a clown
An object of mockery
Yet, harrowing episodes have not
Dwindled my love
For, 'hate' is not my doctrine
Nor my cup of tea.
