Hail Mosquito Kingdom

I was summoned

By the chief of the human beings

For a peace talk with them

For they felt that

We are growing in population

And creating a mess for them.

Ten wise men sitting together

Were discussing

How to eliminate us

When I crept into the room

They offered me a seat

And told me

That, we mosquitoes

Are multiplying in numbers

Surpassing the human population

And creating troubles.

The chief of human

Said that if we continued this way

We will be killed

And henceforth will not have a place to live

I listened to them patiently told them

That they are acting irrationally

and certainly not us.

We had enough and more to eat always

Even though the plants were getting reduced

Because the human population was burgeoning

And we could change our diet from nectar to blood

We had enough to eat and stay together

We had enough to travel

Length and breath

And even on the high rises

As dwelling units increased

While the forest areas decreased

It is you the human who have problem

Of food and water yet you are not controlling

And growing on and on

We are wiser and we tend to grow

Only as long as all of us

Have enough to eat and drink

And all are alike

You have a problem

Where some have food and some have not

And its not we hence we feel that

You have to make effort and not we

The chief got wild and said “I can eradicate you”

I warned and cautioned before you eradicate

I can eliminate your human kingdom

By mass spread of biological diseases

Even before you wake up and know the cause

But we will never do, as we are intelligent

And we would like to eat and live peacefully

We know that without you we don’t exist

It is up to you, to understand

And you may do what you want

But we are clear what to do.

I was about to leave and said that

I can help you control your population

If you want me to do and you have no other means to do

By selective elimination of human beings

Across by spreading diseases

We can balance ourselves

At any time, based on your strategies

If your increase plants and forests

We will migrate, if not we will continue

To stay and grow as long as you grow
