Greed For Wealth

Every human today is consumed by the greed for wealth,
Peace is stolen; there is only a hunger to win at all costs. ​

There is not a shred of contentment with what has been gained,
Who knows why, day and night, a new desire/greed takes hold. ​

No one cares about anyone else's pain anymore,
Every person is driven solely by the greed for personal gain. ​

Those relationships have broken where love no longer lives,
Yet, many hearts still harbor a greed for property and estate.

 Eyes were never lowered in respect at the altar of truth,
Yet today, everyone here is lured by the greed of a false ego. ​

The one who is rich, yet cannot share a single joy,
Oh 'Murali', that man is the true beggar, who is possessed by greed every moment.
