Because if I cannot love myself, nobody, not even you, can ever love me to my hearts’ satisfaction.

Because you may have accepted me the way I am, but first and most importantly I need to accept what I am.

Because although you have provided me with social status, I provide myself with profession, character, dignity and honour.

Because you make me happy, but I have learnt to be happy by myself otherwise nobody can ever make me smile.

Because, although I trust you never to hurt me, I trust myself, that in case you do, I will rise and stand on my feet again.

Because you can buy me all the expensive gifts, but you cannot give me self-confidence, self-respect and self-esteem, I need to build those myself.

Because although our love exceeds all boundaries, we can never be sure where time will take us, and then my only companion will be myself.
