Gratitude

I was battered and broken deep inside,

When you came out of nowhere like a guiding light

You helped me to gain back my pride,

Admonishing me for dwelling over my plight,

By extending a helping hand,

Mentoring me all the way,

So well you could understand,

Even what I was unable to convey,

Untold doubts and insecurities were hovering over me,

Despite that you gave me the confidence, to stand back on my feet,

The Universe had finally answered my silent plea,

As I felt a sense of achievement, even in the face of defeat,

Now you know, why my heart is replete with gratitude,

This was not the end of my world,

It was just an interlude,

There were endless possibilities, yet to be unfurled!
