Goodbye

There are tears in your eyes,

Guess you are not great at goodbyes.

I know it pains you,

Because it pains me too.

But here is where we part,

Even though it aches our hearts.

Our hearts were deeply wired,

But now that too has expired.

I know you will find someone better,

Though it will make me bitter.

It was fun while it lasted,

It was amazing how we contrasted.

You were the yin to my yang,

I was formal and you used slang.

But all things end one day,

And now we go on our own way.
