God Sent Him Before Me

God sent him before me to this world,

To create a paradise just for me.

He made him strong like a pillar,

So I could feel God’s strength in him clearly.

God made him unconditionally caring,

So I would know what pure love feels like.

He made him courageous as a lion,

So I could face every storm with his might behind mine.

He made him selfless and giving,

So I’d always come before his own needs.

He made him confident, bold and sure,

So when the world broke me, his belief would restore.

God made him optimistic like the morning sun,

So when he smiled, my whole world lit up.

He made him wise beyond his years,

For I always needed his wisdom near.

God created my Dad,

Because He knew He couldn’t always be with me.

God loves me the most —

So He gifted me my Dad.
